Tips For Using Your Scrapbooking Punches

Here are few scrapbooking punch ideas for you to try on your scrapbook pages.  Spend a few minutes punching away to see what kind of creative uses you can come up with.

Punch images, then play with the punched scrapbook paper to create different looks.  First punch a 1/2″ circle, then punch a 1/8″ circle inside of it.  Or, punch a 11/4″ square, fold it over the top of an accent piece, and staple it for an easy addition to the accent.

Use a double circle punch to transform other punched images into a button look.  Punch the center of a 13/8″ or 11/4″ circle and you get an actual button image.

Use a slit punch to create easy coin holders:  punch two slits an appropriate distance apart, then slip the coin in between.  The slit punch also works great for creating flaps to seal a card:  punch a slit, then fold up the bottom edge of the card, and tuck it into the slit.

These are just a few tips for punching.  As you experiment, you’ll discover other ways to use these handy scrapbooking tools.
