Layering Card Stock

Layering Card Stock

Monday, December 5th, 2011

This is one of the easiest ways to add color and dimension to your projects.  When you tear the edge of the card stock, it creates an eye-catching accent piece sure to make others take notice.  Whether the look you’re after is detailed or simple, you can create it using only stamps, ink, and paper with the faux tearing technique.

When you create a project using faux tearing, you have the look of  layered paper without actually using any extra card stock.  If you tear a piece of scrap paper to use as a template and don’t like the way it looks, you won’t be wasting card stock.  You can re-tear the edge of your scrap paper before applying the ink to achieve exactly the right look for your project.
