Stencils and templates are important items to have in your scrapbooking supplies. They are a guide for you trace your own letters, shapes, and other designs with. You can trace, paint, or emboss onto a scrapbook page or trace onto card stock and cut out the shape to be added to the page. You can even make your own number or alphabet templates by using a blank stencil sheet. These templates can be used over and over again for each new project.

Probably the busiest time of the year for using these items is Halloween. There are so many pumpkin templates, as well as pumpkin carving stencils used for designing the best jack-o-lantern and the scariest creatures.

Plus, templates and stencils are positively worth trying out if you wish to add a bit of design in your home (wall stencils), your equipment (letter stencils, stencils for painting), or your clothing without putting out a lot of money. Even invitation templates and wedding invitation templates are reasonably priced. The internet offers free stencils to choose from. And since you are able to do the work yourself, you undoubtedly wouldn’t be operating out of concepts for designs.
